Each month, The Kentucky
Explorer magazine receives literally scores of letters from
our faithful readers. Among those letters we often find queries,
ranging from requests for words to songs and poems to trying
to locate former classmates and military buddies of long ago.
Here are a few queries from

Kentucky County Map
Book Wanted
Dear Editor:
My copy of the Kentucky County Map Book is worn out. This book
contains all 120 counties of Kentucky and shows post offices,
churches, cemeteries, schools, and other landmarks. The maps
are excellent, and I have used my book extensively and have worn
it out. I have not been able to find a place to buy a new one.
If anyone knows where to purchase one of these books or has one
available, please let me know.
I will gladly pay for the book and postage.

Searching For Photos
Of Dwale, Floyd County, Ky.
Dear Editor:
I would like to know if any readers of The Kentucky Explorer
would have any old photos to share of Dwale, Floyd County, Kentucky.
I am interested in photos dated from the late 1890s to the early
1900s of schools, teachers, postmasters, or school children.
Also, I am interested in copies of The Kentucky Explorer from
1986 to 2006.
I was given some of the magazines from 2006 to 2009 and have
enjoyed each one of them.
Any help would be appreciated.

Angel Trumpet Seeds
Dear Editor:
Thanks so much for The Kentucky Explorer. The magazine means
so much to its readers. I can read the stories over and over
and find something I missed each time.
I have lots of Angel Trumpet flower seeds. I would be glad to
send some to readers who are interested. This flower has large
white blooms in the shape of trumpets, and they smell so good.
