Each month, The Kentucky
Explorer magazine receives literally scores of letters from
our faithful readers. Among those letters we often find queries,
ranging from requests for words to songs and poems to trying
to locate former classmates and military buddies of long ago.

Wants
Recipe For
Cornmeal Mush
Dear
Editor:
My dad, Phillip Cornett, born in 1885, had an old-fashioned recipe
for cornmeal mush. He made it with cornmeal, eggs, and maybe
water and milk.
The recipe was so good. I should have paid closer attention when
he made it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Old Book
Wanted
Dear
Editor:
I went to grade school in Lawrence County, Kentucky, at Tadpole
Schoolhouse in 1955 to the early 1960s. I would like to find
a copy of a book we read there with stories about How The Robin
Got Its Red Breast, Hansel And Gretel, and many others.
I would appreciate any help.
The Kentucky Explorer magazine is a delight and a great reminder
of who we are. Keep up the good work.
