Sorghum
Cake Recipe Wanted
Dear Editor:
My great-grandmother used to make a sorghum cake using homemade
sorghum made by the family. My father and aunts still talk about
how good the cake was.
If any reader has a copy of this recipe to share, I would gladly
reimburse the postage.
Also, I am looking for white and red Cleome (Spider plant) seeds.
I have plenty of purple seeds, if someone would like to trade.

Seeking
Photo Of Schoolhouse
At Quail, Rockcastle County
Dear Editor:
I am seeking a picture of the old schoolhouse that once stood
at Quail on Highway 70 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, across
from Mink's store. The schoolhouse and Mink's store were torn
down several years ago. I attended this school in the early 1950s
from the first through the fourth grades. The school had two
rooms, but only one room was used for classes when I attended.
I believe 1953 was the last year it was used as a school.
If anyone has a picture of this school, I would be happy to pay
for a copy.
