Each month, The Kentucky
Explorer magazine receives literally scores of letters from
our faithful readers. Among those letters we often find queries,
ranging from requests for words to songs and poems to trying
to locate former classmates and military buddies of long ago.
Here are a few queries from May 2007

Ida Spence
Homes
In Covington
Dear Editor:
I would like to hear from anyone who lived at the Ida Spence
Homes in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky, from 1954-1959.
I've been in touch with three girls I knew back then and would
like to hear from more who lived there. Thanks to The Kentucky
Explorer for printing my letter and thanks to everyone who wrote
and sent pictures of the old Independence School.

Old Paper
Items Wanted
Dear Editor:
I would like to receive advertising flyers of events, old pictures
of strange happenings, or just old pictures in general. I would
also like posters, prints, soldiers' letters, maps, military
documents, postcards, stamps, trading cards, or anything that
is made of paper that is old, strange, or unusual.
If any reader would like to send any item of this type, I would
greatly appreciate it.
