One of the popular features
found in The Kentucky Explorer each month is genealogy,
often published in the form of letters, queries, photographs,
and stories. Several serial features, such as Kentucky Genealogy
Help Line, Genealogy From The Long Ago, and Strictly Kentucky
Genealogy, are dedicated solely to this purpose and continue
from month to month.

Curtis Cromwell, and grandson of William Oliver Cromwell (d.
1849, Union Co., Ky.). Any info. appreciated.

Sarah J. Derringer/Dearinger, b. 1875, d. ca. 1900, m. 1892,
George W. Brown, b. 7/16/1859, d. 5/28/1942, children: Jessie
M., b. 1893; Oscar Sherman, b. 8/14/1894, d. 2/10/1983, my father;
William M. "Bill," b. 1897, d. between 1910-1920 from
rabies; and Anna J., b. 1899, d. ca. 1900. They are all buried
in Brush Creek Cemetery, Casey Co., Ky., except for Oscar, buried
Caney Fork Cemetery, Casey Co., Ky. Sarah J. was the dau. of
James Derringer, b. 1841, d. 1910; and Emily Royal, b. 1850 N.
C., d. 1902. She was the granddaughter of Jacob C. Derringer,
b. 1812, d. 1882; and Elizabeth Pagget, b. 1818, d. 1910, Ill.
Sarah's siblings: John C., b. 1868, m. Sarah B. Sanders; Jacob,
b. 1870; George W., b. 1871, d. 1945, m. Martha J. Lay; Susan
B., b. 1878, m. R. L. Lay; James F., b. 1880; and Nancy L., b.
