This crowd scene is
possibly a camp meeting or revival meeting associated with the
old Salem Church in Laurel County. Many years ago crowds like
this could be found at annual graveyard meetings in Eastern Kentucky.
Still today, many Kentuckians gather at their family cemeteries
to remember lost loved ones, hear some old-time preaching, enjoy
fellowship with friends and family, and to have dinner- on-the-ground.
