| Centre College in Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky, was founded by the Kentucky Legislature on January 21, 1819, and was named for its location in the center of the state. The main building, now known as Old Centre, was completed in 1820. There were two students in the first graduating class of 1824 and five in 1829. |
