Each month, The Kentucky
Explorer magazine receives literally scores of letters from
our faithful readers. Whenever possible, we try to publish as
many of them as possible in the 12 pages we have set aside for
"Letters to the Editor."
Here are actual letters from our March
2003 issue:
Wants Greasy Bean Seeds
Dear Editor:
We enjoy The Kentucky Explorer and are always looking forward
to the next issue. Our relatives are the Wilsons/Wilkersons from
Russell County. Even though we don't see much written from that
area, the other articles and pictures are great. We also enjoy
reading about the McRoberts family.
Another interest is reading about the greasy bean seeds. We have
searched all the seed catalogs and have been unable to find the
seeds. If anyone has a few to share, we would be happy to pay
the postage.

Dear Editor:
I am seeking information on a Kenneth Hayes. He was working in
Middletown, Ohio, in 1968. He was then 22 years old. He was from
Morehead, Kentucky, and was married to Rita. He had an older
brother named Robert, who lived at Red Line, Ohio.
If anyone has any information regarding Kenneth Hayes, please
let me know.

Attention, Kirksville Grads
Dear Editor:
The old Kirksville School has now become the Kirksville Community
Center. The center is owned and operated by a group of citizens
in the Kirksville area, as a nonprofit organization. We're very
interested in locating any class pictures before 1945, or any
type of memorabilia that may be connected to the old school.
We're in the process of establishing a museum-type area in the
school filled with anything related to the old school. If you
have any such items, or know of any items, please get in touch
with us.
