Mining fluorspar was
hard work when this photo was taken in 1913 at the Asbridge Mines.
Note the tools some of the men are holding: picks, shovels, sledge
hammers, and ramrods. A few are wearing carbide lamps on their
work hats. All are dressed for hard work. The man sitting last
on the right is William Floyd Simpkins, the grandfather of R.
