 The 1944 Stearns High School boys' basketball team. The pretty lady with the team is head coach Marjorie Wheeldon, believed to be one of the first females to coach a boys' basketball team in Kentucky. This was during WWII, while the men were serving overseas. The women did a great job filling in for them. Marjorie says she had a winning team, too.
