writes, "This is a photo of an old log schoolhouse that
housed grades first through eighth. The school was called Flanders
School and located on Lower Bad Creek, near Hoskinston, Leslie
County, Kentucky. The photo was taken in 1941. A lady named Mrs.
Flanders provided the funds to turn the boardinghouse into a
schoolhouse, because the children in Bad Creek didn't have a
