Known throughout the United
States for its distinct country sound, the "Pop Eckler and
his Young'uns" band is shown here about 1937 in Atlanta,
Georgia. The band, whose members were all Kentucky natives, received
much national radio exposure during the 1930s. Members included
(l-r): "Curley" Collins, Tex Foreman, Kay Woods, Garner
"Pop" Eckler, and "Red" Murphy.
